Supporting Our Communities
Flannery is committed to creating social value and promoting inclusivity within the communities where we work. By supporting local initiatives, schools, and training programmes, we help inspire the next generation to explore careers in construction and engineering, while contributing to stronger, more connected communities.
Supporting Air Ambulance UK
Flannery proudly supports Air Ambulances UK, helping raise awareness and support for the critical emergency medical services that save lives across the UK. Air ambulances provide rapid-response medical care to people in urgent need, delivering specialist treatment at the scene when every second counts.
Backing this vital service reflects Flannery’s commitment to community support, social value, and lifesaving emergency services, helping ensure air ambulance teams can continue to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies nationwide.
Programme Highlights
Our skills programmes are delivering real impact across the industry. To date, 876 new roles have been created, with 732 learners joining our Skills Bootcamps in 2024/25 and 81% achieving successful outcomes. We’re also proud to support a more inclusive workforce, with 45% ethnic minority participation, 27% previously NEET, 14% people with disabilities, and 10% women entering the sector.
Supporting Coram’s Fields Play Tower Project
Flannery supported the development of the new play tower at Coram's Fields by donating plant machinery and equipment to assist with the construction. This contribution helped enhance one of London’s most historic children’s parks and community spaces, which has provided a safe and welcoming environment for young people under 16 for more than 80 years.
By supporting projects like this, Flannery continues its commitment to community engagement, social value, and improving local spaces, helping create environments where children and families can learn, play, and thrive.
Representing Modern Britain Through Inclusion
Flannery is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion across the construction industry, actively engaging with minority communities and supporting initiatives that reflect modern Britain. As a proud supporter of #BuildingEquality, we work to break down barriers and encourage a more inclusive workforce across our sector.
Our iconic rainbow JCB 3CX has featured at several PRIDE events, helping raise awareness of equality and representation within construction. Through continued support for inclusive initiatives and industry partnerships, Flannery remains dedicated to championing diversity, social value, and opportunity for all.
Supporting Positive Change Through Partnerships
Flannery works closely with charity partners to create meaningful career opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. Through partnerships with Walking With The Wounded and Beating Time, we help individuals transition into sustainable careers within the construction industry.
Our work with Walking With The Wounded has supported 45 career opportunities for military veterans, helping those who have served to build new futures in the sector. Through Beating Time, we have helped 61 ex-offenders access employment and training, offering a genuine second chance and supporting rehabilitation through meaningful work.
Alongside these partnerships, Flannery also supports initiatives such as Constructing Change and wider prison reform programmes, helping to open pathways into construction for people who may otherwise struggle to access employment. By working with these organisations, we aim to drive social mobility, support rehabilitation, and strengthen communities through inclusive employment opportunities.
Representation & Opportunity
Flannery is committed to improving representation and inclusion across the construction industry, creating opportunities for people from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. Through our Skills Bootcamps, apprenticeships, and training programmes, we help individuals gain the skills needed to start and progress in construction careers.
Our initiatives have already created 876 new roles, with 732 learners taking part in our Skills Bootcamps in 2024/25 and 81% achieving successful outcomes. We are proud to support a diverse talent pipeline, including 45% ethnic minority representation, 27% individuals previously NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), 14% people with disabilities, and 10% women entering the sector.
To inspire the next generation, our plant simulator van visits schools and communities in underrepresented areas, giving young people hands-on experience with construction technology and introducing them to career opportunities within the industry.
