Flannery Newsletter: April 2026

1 May 2026

Welcome to April’s edition of the Flannery Plant Hire LinkedIn Newsletter!

April has been a big month at Flannery, with progress, people, and purpose front and centre.

From major fleet investment to celebrating the people behind the scenes and the journeys that shape careers at Flannery, April has captures what Flannery stands for: innovation, teamwork, and making a difference.

Flannery makes ScotPlant 2026 Debut!

Flannery was proud to make its debut at Scot Plant 2026, our first time attending the event. It was a great chance for the team to be on site, catch up with familiar faces, and take in everything the show had to offer.

Firmly established in Scotland, Flannery continues to build its presence through depots in Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Inverness, supported by our wider UK network. With project activity and demand increasing, ScotPlant also provided a valuable opportunity to speak with operators interested in long-term roles.

Visitors to the stand were able to get up close with standout equipment such as the Magni ROTO, Argocat ATV, JCB Tractor, and Bogmaster, highlighting the innovative solutions we offer for challenging and specialist environments. Beyond the machinery, we were also delighted to welcome Air Ambulances UK as our charity partner of the year to share the stand and weekend with.

Graeme Hughes, Operations Director commented:

From start to finish, the event was fantastic. It was great to catch up with both new and familiar faces and to further reinforce Flannery’s commitment to Scotland.

A huge thank you goes to the entire team who gave up their weekend to make the event such a success. We’re already looking forward to returning to Scot Plant in the future.

Powering the Future: Flannery's £12m Magni Investment

Flannery had the pleasure of welcoming Peter Haddock to our Warrington depot to showcase a selection of our Magni telescopic fleet and share details of our latest investment.

Flannery's £12m commitment to Magni reinforces Flannery’s focus on specialist hire, innovation, safety and drive towards net zero. The fleet features twin energy conversion, allowing fully electric, zero-emission operation when connected to three-phase power, without compromising performance.

We’ve invested in the Magni Roto fleet, our operators and technicians to support our existing customer base, particularly in the energy sector. With the scale of projects linked to net zero, this gives us additional capability to support schemes over the next decade and beyond.

Beyond the benefits sustainable plant, safety is built in, with remote control operation and human form recognition technology available to support safer 360 degree lifting and effective exclusion zone management.

With first of its kind integrated attachments providing real time cab feedback, this investment cements Flannery’s future ready approach to supporting energy, infrastructure, and specialist projects.

Powered by Her: Tori's Story

This month, we had the opportunity to spotlight Tori Whittaker, a Training Co ordinator based in Warrington, whose work ethic and drive reflect a simple mindset: never stop learning.

As Flannery continues to evolve and introduce new systems and innovations, roles naturally shift. When changes meant Tori’s previous role was impacted, she chose to embrace the opportunity rather than stand still.

I didn’t want to go anywhere, my career was at Flannery. They gave me the support I needed to grow and find something I truly enjoy.

With encouragement from her team and the backing of the business, Tori stepped confidently into a new role, building new skills and continuing her career with a company she’s proud to be part of, one that recognised her value and invested in her future.

Women like Tori are shaping the industry every day, not by standing still, but by moving forward.

Wembley Fitters: The People Behind the Fleet

The latest instalment of our Fitters feature takes us behind the scenes at Wembley, with our teams working beneath the iconic arch, offering a snapshot of a typical day on the workshop floor and the people who keep everything going.

While the machines often take centre stage, life at Flannery is just as much about the people on in the workshops and depots. Their experience, practical know‑how, and approach to getting the job done properly are what keep the fleet operating day in, day out.

There’s real satisfaction in the job too, seeing a machine washed, serviced, tagged up, and ready to head out to its next site. It’s a clear reminder that the work done in the workshop directly supports projects across the country.

Backed by experienced fitters, modern equipment, and a strong team culture, Flannery continues to invest in work that’s hands on, worthwhile, and rewarding.

If that sounds like the kind of environment you’d enjoy, take a look at opportunities on our careers page HERE

Thanks for catching up on April at Flannery. From investment to people and community, it’s been a strong month, and there’s plenty more to come.

Innovation. Everywhere.
